Challenge
Travian Games features several in-house game development teams that are responsible for both new projects and support of existing ones. Additionally, they run a few external teams located in different cities all over Germany (Northworks in Hamburg, Bright Future in Cologne, and Steroid Interactive in Mainz). Such a system gives the management fast access to the latest innovations in technology, as well as extensive control over the production process.
At one point, the client faced some difficulties hiring proficient PHP developers within Germany. Due to Jörg Strathaus, CTO at Travian Games, having a positive experience working with Intersog in the past, the company chose us to be their service provider.
Solution
Intersog's task was to assist the Munich-based team with the company's internal tasks. Additionally, Travian Games required full control over their Ukrainian team's processes to preserve domain expertise and business knowledge in-house.
Intersog provisioned Travian Games’ nearshore teams with office space and equipment, as well as the technology and administrative resources required for effective workflow. Cooperation between the teams was established based on the principles of the Agile Scrum methodology.
Over time the team grew bigger and was divided between several non-core Travian projects.
Even though most of the essential projects are now finished, the cooperation between companies continues. Intersog's team still supports Travian Games in various tasks.
I’d definitely recommend Intersog as a reliable business partner.
